What To Wear On A Long Haul Flight And Look Stylish.
Long flights can be downright tiresome and boring. Doesn’t mean you should look it. Try these outfits next time you have a log flight to look stylish.
If I had to choose between a road trip and a long flight I would pick the road trip without a doubt. I bet if you have been on a plane overnight or for more than eight hours you’d agree with me. Airplanes can be really uncomfortable with the small cubicles and restricted movement space. This makes you want to wear the most comfortable clothes you can get and carry as many accessories as needed.
In as much as I’m all for getting comfy on long plane rides, I most certainly do not mean committing fashion crimes. So how do you find the balance between comfy and stylish? How do you find the perfect outfit between boring but comfy pajamas and classy, tiresome heels? Read some more, I let you in on the secret!
The turtle neck has made a steady comeback into the fashion scene and it seems like it is here to stay! These comfy and warm tops come in all kinds of materials, shapes, and sizes such that you can pair them with anything.
Put on a turtleneck top to look classy and keep warm on any long airplane flights. In fact, these save you the trouble of carrying a scarf.
Yes, you can still look classy in a hoodie! It just depends on what you pair it with. Throw on a hoodie with some fitting sweat pants and a nice pair of sneakers and you’ve got yourself the stylish sports star look.
Just be sure to put on (or carry) a vest just in case it gets too hot. Also, make sure the hoodie is not tight. Go for oversized or barely fitting.
If there is a look that will probably not go out of style it’s the denim. On top of a matching tank top put on a denim shirt and some nice pair of jeans.
Slap on a pair of your favorite sunglasses and let your hair down to get that ‘don’t care ‘casual look. You will definitely look classy and feel it!
Everyone has a comfortable, simple yet stylish t-shirt stacked away in the closet awaiting a time like this. I said white because it goes well with any color (especially blue jeans and a long pendant neck piece). And of course, white is always classy.
Most people don’t expect it to get chilly on the plane but in most cases especially night flights, it does. So go ahead and wear or carry an extra “layer” of clothing.
Everything about leather jacket be it oversized or small and fitting screams bad ass! Be sure wear a pair of Sunglasses to complete your look no matter what you pair it with.
The case of the denim jacket is pretty much the same as the denim shirt. Put it on with almost anything in your closet ranging from jeans to short dresses and even maxi ones.
Feeling hot? No problem. Take it off and tie it around your waist. I bet this will get some heads turning!
Coats and cardigans are a great way to keep warm. Long coats usually look pretty classy and cover the whole body. Pair this with some long flat boots and you are good to go. The same goes for the cardigans.
These beauties can be worn for any occasion and a long flight is definitely one of them. Throw on a floppy hat or a fedora and some shades and you are good to go. Just make sure the dress is not too loose. The last thing you want is to be suspected of smuggling!
What I love about these is that they come with all sorts of designs, are definitely classy and a guarantee of comfort. In case you are landing for a business meeting an official jumpsuit will be a great idea. Just throw on a blazer to make it more official.
These have become a really big trend with time and can be worn with any pair of shoes. But since you are going on a long, tiresome flight, you want to keep your shoe choice flat and comfy. My bet is a nice pair of converse or sneakers.
I know I said tight clothes are a huge no, no but skinny jeans are downright fashionable for anyone and can be paired with almost anything. Just make sure they are made of some breathable material to avoid sweating.
This is pretty straight forward since you know your flight will be long. You want to wear flat and comfortable shoes such as sandals, flat boots or sneakers. Just remember, whatever you do, if you go with closed shoes, don’t remove them while on the plane! It’s really gross to be barefoot on public planes.
Don’t forget these…
A travel pillow. (Neck pillow)
A bag for essentials.
Noise cancellation earphones or earplugs
Entertainment ( a novel, magazine, game or movie)
There are so many stylish outfits that we might not have covered here. Whatever you put on, make sure it makes you feel confident and comfortable. Besides, isn’t this the whole point of style in general?
